About Midrolo

Midrolo does a sponsorship team's research for one independent podcast at a time. The name comes from the midroll, the ad slot that pays best in an episode.

Why it exists

Small shows want sponsors but can't show brands who their listeners are: hosting stats count downloads and countries, not taste. The tools that could help are priced for agencies, and the marketplaces built for small shows keep closing. Midrolo gives a podcaster the evidence a brand wants to see, for the price of one sponsor spot.

Where the data comes from

  • Qloo's taste graph: what people with your listeners' tastes love more than most people do, how they lean by age and gender, and where they live.
  • Podcast Index: podcast search and show details. Podcast data from Podcast Index, the open podcast directory.
  • Public RSS feeds: your episodes, and the sponsors mentioned on similar shows.
  • An AI model, through OpenRouter: plans the research and writes the reasons and pitches from those results.

Audiences are modeled from Qloo taste data, not measured, and every report says so.

Where it's at

Midrolo was built for the Qloo Agentic Hackathon in October 2026. Paid plans aren't on sale yet: billing is built and tested in test mode, and you can join the founding member waitlist from the pricing page. Its code is open source under the AGPL-3.0 license.
