RUMOR: The Miami Heat Want Kyrie Irving but Why Would Kai Say Yes...

The Miami Heat are reportedly monitoring the Kyrie Irving situation, but would Kyrie Irving actually have a better chance to win in Miami than with Cooper Flagg and the Dallas Mavericks? What could the Heat realistically offer the Mavs in an NBA trade, and why does Kyrie Irving mean more to Dallas than any package of assets?
Nick Angstadt and Isaac Harris break down Shams Charania’s report on the Miami Heat watching Kyrie Irving. They look at what a deal would cost, with Andrew Wiggins, Nikola Jović, Bobby Portis and Miami’s lone tradable first-round pick, and explain why Cooper Flagg outplaying Giannis Antetokounmpo and Shai Gilgeous-Alexander changes the conversation. They also talk about Kyrie Irving’s veteran leadership with Morez Johnson Jr., the gravity he creates for Cooper Flagg, how Masai Ujiri and Mike Schmitz might handle January offers, and which team (Phoenix, Toronto, Golden State or San Antonio) will be the next one “monitoring” Kyrie.
