The Secret to Dusty May’s Plan for Cooper Flagg

The Dallas Mavericks are 3-2 after a brutal opening stretch, and Cooper Flagg is already setting the tone as Dusty May builds the Mavs around his superstar and Kyrie Irving. Do the Mavs have enough playmaking, who are the rotation locks, and can Dallas get revenge on the Houston Rockets and San Antonio Spurs in an early NBA litmus test?
Nick Angstadt and Isaac Harris break down Dusty May’s plan for Cooper Flagg, his +20 on/off impact, and why these Dallas Mavericks look different than they did under Jason Kidd. They answer whether Kyrie Irving, Naji Marshall, Marcus Sasser, and Walter Clayton Jr. give the Mavs enough playmaking, and how PJ Washington, Daniel Gafford, Max Christie, and Zaccharie Risacher fit into Dusty May’s rotation. Plus, what happens when Santi Aldama, Sergio de Larrea, and Dereck Lively II return, and how did Morez Johnson Jr. look against the Oklahoma City Thunder?
